CONSIDERATE CONSTRUCTORS
This video was commissioned to accompany the photographic work 'Brutal London' at the English Pavilion of Countless Cities exhibition at Farm Cultural Park, Favara, Italy in 2019. The considerate constructors scheme is a code of practices designed to regulate and improve the image of the construction industry in UK. Registered companies must display posters promoting registration with the scheme on and around site's hoarding. Although the brand-new building development that will arise, this does not guarantee that the developments which rise behind the labelled hoarding can always be termed considerate. This is a journey in loop, through London’s changing landscape. The flow of the new developments goes with the flow of messages we are exposed to in our daily lives. A mix of advertisements to attract tenants, promising wealthy and happy lives in luxurious new homes, and warnings and restrictions regarding our freedom in public spaces.
